Calm before Christmas…

Posted on November 24th, 2016

As the clocks move back and the days shrink faster, our thoughts move into quieter mode – we have been enjoying being on retreat with some wonderful people both in Gozo and Glastonbury in the last month. I have always felt a link between those two places, which clearly had magical power in days long gone as well as recent re-awakenings…. And it was great that we had people travel from the UK and Malta and others from Malta to the UK for our two retreats, reinforcing that link…

Working with some of the people I admire most, as well as my beloved Robin, was also a fabulous treat…and we are meeting soon to decide when and where we might summon those who wish to join us again, or indeed for the first time… watch this space!

Dark evenings turn thoughts ahead to the winter solstice, and Christmas, a time of fairy lights and sparkles that has never left my heart, as Robin will probably mutter into his non-existent beard… (thinking about it, perhaps as a four times grandad now he might need to invest in that old red outfit with white nylon beard to go!)

In the run up to Christmas, its stress which everyone is talking about, the last minute shopping, the desire for it all to be perfect….

So what YOU need is a regular little break where you just stop and breathe… and remind yourself of what it is really all about – which is mostly to be present to the ones you love, rather than the external gift, however lovely that is….

If you need a little aid, carry a little bottle of Pure Calm… it’s a herbal remedy that will instantly centre and calm you – invaluable for slowing down time, even if just for a little while…

And then go home and have a cup of tea – and make it a special one, with some superfoods to recharge your energy, or calming lavender and chamomile with a spoonful of Manuka honey …
