As a great believer in the power of gratitude to not only have you feeling better in the present but attracting your future dreams towards you, we are constantly giving thanks to be living in an very beautiful, unspoilt and almost hidden part of the country, on the edge of the Quantock Hills. From the bottom of the garden a clear day reveals the outline of the Glastonbury Tor across the ancient wetlands of the Somerset Levels, while behind us the hills run in a humpbacked, combe- (the local word for wooded valley) dissected line up to the Bristol channel, where the extraordinary stone formations at Kilve create a dramatic encounter with the sea.
There is always a fascinating vista to explore, as long as you are dressed up to withstand whatever the shifting skyline and hovering clouds have in store. As Spring approaches (the ancient celebration of Imbolc is on 1st February) a succession of wildflowers fill the valleys – already the snowdrops are up, the be followed by the wood anemones like silver stars, then the primroses and violets, and later the bluebells.
We love to share our good fortune to be living here in all this beauty, and especially in our lovely old house, Broomfield Hall. And also to share the delicious recipes made with largely local fruit and vegetables, fully organic, and incorporating a good proportion of raw food cuisine and juices, alongside warming winter fare, and raw chocolates, that we teach at our workshops. We are also great believers in detoxing our bodies with gentle easy techniques – keeping healthy and living long is simple if we take out the bad and feed in the good…
And winter is also for getting cosy round the fire, and gazing quietly within to contact the still centre of ourselves and from there call in those things that are truly our Heart’s Desire.. We use card readings, inner journeys and visualisation, and healing audio files to conjure the genie within to bring us closer to the health, happiness and abundance we wish to create, for ourselves and for the wider world…
So do come and join us for a weekend – we have two dates coming up –
